Welcome to the Unofficial Guide to the EE Qualifying Examinations. This guide is intended to help you with your preparation for the quals. It attempts to summarize the best of the collective wisdom concerning the quals. It incorporates information from previous quals guides and from a recent (1998) survey of EE students' preparation strategies. We hope that you find this guide to be a useful resource.
