letter demonstrates an ultrafast sample and hold circuit using
optically triggered metal-semiconductor-metal switches made of
low-temperature-grown GaAs for use in a photonic analo-to-digital
conversion system. A differential configuration is incorporated to
reduce feedthrough noise.
