Directions to Stanford

Stanford is roughly equidistant from San Francisco and San Jose International airports. Driving directions from the airports to Palo Alto and Stanford could be found at the following link: http://www.stanford.edu/home/visitors/directions.html

Local transportation and parking

Since the number of parking spaces on the Stanford campus is severely limited, we recommend that you could leave your car at the hotel.    Marguerite Shuttle A and B lines will be available every 15 minutes at the Palo Alto Caltrain station for the people who are staying at Sheraton Palo Alto Hotel or Cardinal Hotel.  For those who are staying at Stanford Terrace Inn, the hotel shuttle bus will be available or you may take the Marguerite Line A which stops 100 yards away from Stanford Terrace Inn to take you to the CISX and Ginzton Lab.  Marguerite runs all day from 6:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. After hours, Marguerite Midnight Express Shuttle is available every 30 minutes.

More info on the Marguerite Shuttle can be found at the following links:

In case you decide to drive to campus, you will receive permits and a map for parking by mail prior to the meeting.  You will have to scratch off the date of parking on a permit and and hang it on your rear view mirror.
