University
October 3-4, 2007
There is a good selection of hotels near the campus. Several that have been used by visitors in the past include the Creekside Inn, the Stanford Terrace Inn, the Stanford Park Hotel, and the Cardinal Hotel. Information (including distance from Stanford and relative prices) on these and a number of others is available through the below links:
The registration website is now active.
Please register by 09/21/2007 - otherwise we will not be able to guarantee for your meals, a seat at the banquet, parking, and a hardcopy of the proceedings. We will be unable to issue refunds after Sep 22nd due to the fact that nonrefundable payments are due to our vendors at that time.
Registration ($250) includes catered breakfasts, lunches, and refreshments on both Oct. 3 and 4, a conference dinner at the Stanford Faculty Club on October 3, as well as the meeting proceedings (both a CD and a hard copy).
Parking fees (optional) are in addition to the registration fees (the university charges us for parking permits, and they limit the number that we are allowed to purchase from them each month. Permits can be purchased for $13/day on the registration site.
Please note that only those invited to attend the meeting are permitted to register. If you are interested in attending the meeting but have not been invited, please contact Jelena Vuckovic.
Continental
breakfast and lunch will be provided both days in the CIS-X
courtyard.
The conference banquet will be held at the Stanford Faculty Club on the night of Wednesday, October 3, 2007.
For additional meals that may be needed, please visit the following web sites:
Stanford is roughly equidistant from the San Francisco and San Jose International Airports (SFO and SJC, respectively). Here are some useful links:
CISX (the Center for Integrated Systems Annex) is located on the corner of Campus Drive and Via Ortega (click here for directions)
The
Ginzton Laboratory
(same as the Applied Physics building) is located across from the CIS and
on the corner of Campus Drive and Via Pueblo

Option 1: Shuttle
If you are staying at the Stanford Terrace Inn or the Cardinal Hotel:
Marguerite Shuttle A and B lines will be available every 15 minutes at the Palo Alto Caltrain station for the people who are staying at the Cardinal Hotel. For those who are staying at Stanford Terrace Inn, the hotel shuttle will be available or you may take Marguerite Line A, which stops 100 yards away from Stanford Terrace Inn to take you to the CISX and Ginzton Lab. The Marguerite runs all day from 6:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. After hours, Marguerite Midnight Express is available every 30 minutes.
More info on the Marguerite Shuttle can be found at the following links:

Schedule
If you are staying at the Creekside Inn:
They offer a complimentary shuttle within a 5 mile radius (the individual has to schedule a time).
Option 2: Driving to Campus
In case you decide to drive to campus, you can purchase permits and a map for parking prior to the meeting. You will have to scratch off the date on the permit and hang it on your rear view mirror.
Since the number of parking spaces on the Stanford campus is severely limited, and some parking lots around Ginzton and CIS are closed due to construction, we recommend that you leave your car at your hotel. The following web sites contain Stanford parking maps:
Ginzton Lab Area Parking (please note that lots A and C are closed due to construction. Parking structure 2 is closest to Ginzton.)
If you have any additional questions regarding the logistics of the meeting and/or need help with registration, or other aspects, please contact Ingrid Tarien (administrative associate for Jelena Vuckovic).
